Atrocities Behind Dr. Wenyi Wang's Crying Out at the White House Ceremony

Falun Gong practitioners have been killed for the market of organ transplantation

Kansas City, MO -- Last Week, a group of local Falun Gong practitioners flew to Washington D.C. to urge the visiting leader Hu Jintao stop the atrocities in China. During the welcoming ceremony at White House, Dr. Wenyi Wang shouted from the press corps, "President Bush, stop him from killing!"

On March 9, a former Chinese journalist revealed to the Epoch Times newspaper that about 6000 Falun Gong practitioners have been held in a secret Concentration camp staffed by surgeons and equipped with a crematorium, in the Sujiatun District of Shenyang City, China. Selling organs has become a lucrative business in China.

On March 17, a former employee of the "Liaoning Thrombus Treatment Center of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine" in Sujiatun District testified to the existence of Sujiatun Concentration camp. She estimated that three-quarters of the 6000 practitioners eventually had their hearts, kidneys, corneas, and skin harvested before their bodies were cremated. She feared the authorities would soon kill the rest of them to destroy the evidence. Her husband at the time was a neurosurgeon involved in harvesting corneas. The doctors were told that harvesting the organs of living Falun Gong practitioners would not be considered a crime. Instead it was called "cleansing" for the Chinese Communist Party. Both witnesses have since left China, fearing for their own lives.

On March 31, a veteran military Medical Doctor told the media that there are about 36 such death camps all over China. According to China's "Health Newspaper", from 1991-1998, 78 liver transplants were performed in all of China. However, the number jumped to 116 in 1999, and skyrocketed to 3,000 in 2003. The original website of the China International Transplantation Network Assistance Center (CITNAC, established in 2003) boasted of, "... more than 35,000 kidney transplant operations ... at least 5,000 every year ... So many transplantation operations are owing to the support of the Chinese government. The Supreme Demotic Court, Supreme Demotic Law-officer, Police, Judiciary, Department of Health and Civil Administration have enacted a law together to make sure that organ donations are supported by the government. This is unique in the world. ... It may take only one week to find out the suitable donor, the maximum time being one month .... Our organs do not come from brain dead victims because the state of the organ may not be good."

China has almost no voluntary donations of organs. Where did this flood of healthy organs come from? It is obvious that they came from Falun Gong practitioners who were killed in the process of harvesting their organs.

On March 28, after remaining silent for three weeks -- long enough for the regime to relocate/ destroy all evidence. Beijing officially denied the existence of the Sujiatun Concentration camp. At the same time, it passed a law of "Interim Regulations for Human Organ Transplant Practice"--but the effective date of the law is July 1, 2006. Since then, the number of organ transplant operations has increased dramatically in many hospitals across China. Three months are long enough to allow the regime's large-scale organ harvesting and killing to destroy all the evidence while denying it in public.

Dr. Wenyi Wang said, "As a physician, I once vowed to save lives. I cannot tolerate such inhumane crimes. I couldn't help but cry out." ( A Cry to Awaken Our Conscience - Statement by Dr. Wenyi Wang ) Currently, Dr. Wang is under US federal charges. She faces six months in prison and $5,000 in fines. The preliminary hearing date is May 3rd 2006, ironically the UN day for press freedom.

A full, independent investigation of all labor camps, prisons, hospitals and related facilities where Falun Gong practitioners are illegally detained is imperative. "President Bush, Stop Him From Killing!" When faced with truly indescribable human suffering on such a scale, we as Americans must not become complicit in these crimes by keeping silent and charging Dr. Wenyi Wang for outburst.
