Dear Reader,

This weekly column is intended to entertain you by exposing some of the more glaring scientific and historical anomalies which have been bypassed by our educational system. "Anomalies" also wants to challenge our readers to take a fresh look at our changing world and perhaps consider whether our established belief system is adequate. As always, your comments and suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

What if...

A large percentage of human organs for transplantation come from convicts or prisoners of conscience and in some cases the person's spirit is transferred with the transplanted organ?

Anomalies #16 discussed the concept of cellular memory (spirit transfer?) with the transplantation of human organs. The source material for that article was: http://www.nexusmagazine.com/articles/CellularMemories.html

From the case histories presented in the Nexus Magazine article it was clear to me that in some cases of organ transplantation the donor's spirit resided in the transplanted organ and co-existed in the recipient's body along with the recipient's spirit. For now, those readers who doubt our spiritual existence, just use the concept of "cellular memory" as discussed in the Nexus article. Of course, mainstream science rejects all of the concepts associated with a "spiritual realm," which is one of the reasons for the existence of this column.

At the website www.eamosspromotions.co.uk/introduction.html there is an article written by Radhakrishna Rao in 2000, with the title, "Racketeering in Human Organs, for Profit, Thrives." According to this article, for many years China has been harvesting organs from its bottomless pit of prisoners. With tens of millions of innocent victims on its death list, China's ruling communist party (CCP) has never had a shortage of bodies from which to harvest whatever organs or body parts that are in demand. (Read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party published by The Epoch Times.)

There is a thriving trade in kidneys and other body parts in India also. No matter what country, it seems that the only parameters required for the establishment of an immoral trade in human organs and body parts is a population in severe financial distress and an immoral government willing to encourage or participate in profiting from such trade.

At this link, http://msnbc.msn.com/id/7631877, you will read about Dr. Esmail Zanjani at the University of Nevada creating new creatures that are part animal and part human by inserting human stem cells into sheep while they are still growing in their mothers' wombs. "When the sheep are born, they have millions of human cells in all of their organs. These cells are genetically identical to the person who donated the bone marrow," Dr. Zanjani said. When the question of the ethics is brought up, Dr. Zanjani has this rather flippant response, "The level of human cell activity in the central nervous system is rather low. It's less than one percent. And we have not seen these animals talk back to us or behave in any fashion as anything but sheep." I guess Dr. Zanjani will become concerned about the ethics of this situation when the sheep begin talking back to him.

So why are we writing about these issues in the Anomalies column? First of all, the case histories in the Nexus Magazine article clearly describe the transfer of personality characteristics from an otherwise "dead" organ donor to the organ recipient. The authors of the article attribute this to "cellular memory." My position is that the spirit of the donor chose to leave the otherwise "dead" body and take up residence in the donated organ. However you wish to understand this issue, the personal characteristics of the donor were transferred to the recipient with the transplanted organ. Given this fact, don't you think that anyone involved in any way with the commercial growing or harvesting of human organs and body parts, including human cells, should have the spotlight of public attention shining on them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?

It is because modern science basically ignores issues regarding morality (a spiritual issue) that these problems come about in the first place. The CCP in China does not believe in the existence of a spiritual realm and because of this it is the largest completely immoral entity on the planet. Other third-world countries wherein trafficking in body parts is big business share in this lack of a moral basis for existence. What about Dr. Zanjani and the other stem cell researchers in the United States? I'm fairly confident that if you surveyed those conducting such research and development you would discover that they do not view human beings as "spiritual beings" but merely as a collection of various types of cells, organs and components that somehow have acquired personality and temperament. (And, I would hopefully add, the capability for characteristics such as honesty, integrity, loyalty, honor, trustworthiness, reverence, tolerance and benevolence, to name a few.)

I hope that this issue of Anomalies will cause you to take a fresh look at our changing world! And thanks again, Carol W., for your help.
